It's time to find a beach volleyball game among the 20 courts that cluster around the north and south side of the Huntington Beach Pier! Ten more courts grouped by two are between the pier and Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach Resort & Spa. Nets are also located at Huntington State Beach. The protocol is first-come first-"serve," but the wait is never long.
These public courts/nets are a goldmine for serious competitors and novice fun-seekers in this mecca of beach volleyball. To start your own game, bring a ball from home or rent one from nearby beach concession stands. If you simply want to watch, there’s plenty of action from the sidelines.
The cool thing about Huntington Beach is that nets are up year-round, a commitment you won't find in all beach communities. On almost any given day, you can see Triple-A-level players practicing their Surf City USA® passion. Every summer, the Association of Volleyball Professionals holds a tournament beside the pier that is broadcast nationwide on television.
Directions
Parking lots are located off Pacific Coast Highway at 6th and 1st Streets. Metered street parking is also available on Pacific Coast Highway and additional parking lots are located downtown off Main Street.
