Ground Us - Art Exhibit

The Huntington Beach Art Center presents a new exhibition opening in the main galleries, entitled, Ground Us. The exhibition features new installations by three artists: Kiel Johnson, Lucrecia Troncoso and P. Williams. Collectively, the artists explore and investigate the sprawling environment and the constant development of concrete encroaching on our natural space. The use of everyday materials such as cardboard, wood, paper and sponges are used in the creation of the artists’ ideal utopias. Three large scale site-specific installations will amuse, engage and imagine a new and improved world.

Amigos de Bolsa Chica - Tours

The Amigos de Bolsa Chica offers free public tours of the Bolsa Chica Wetlands in Huntington Beach. Meet out on the "walkbridge" and tour over the wetlands and along part of the 1 and 1/2 mile loop trail that encircles the Ecological Reserve. The guides will point out the common plants, animals and birds in addition to discussing wetlands conservation, endangered species and other related topics.*Please note: dogs and bikes are not permitted.

Roller Blading Fun Roll

Come join the group of roller bladers each Saturday morning at 10:30am just north of the Huntington Beach Pier at the Pier Plaza amphitheater for a 16 mile round trip skate from Huntington to Newport Beach. Bolsa Chica Service Day

Work with the enthusiastic staff to help restore the natural habitat of Bolsa Chica. Remove trash and non-native plant species all the while enjoying a beautiful day in the sun. This program helps raise public awareness and understanding about the Bolsa Chica Wetlands and its importance to the community. After the restoration activities be sure to visit the interpretive center which houses two touch tanks containing coral, hermit crabs and starfish.

The exhibition features new installations by three artists: Kiel Johnson, Lucrecia Troncoso and P. Williams. Collectively, the artists explore and investigate the sprawling environment and the constant development of concrete encroaching on our natural space. The use of everyday materials such as cardboard, wood, paper and sponges are used in the creation of the artists’ ideal utopias. Three large scale site-specific installations will amuse, engage and imagine a new and improved world.

Fun for the whole family! The Orange County Fair, just minutes from Huntington Beach in Costa Mesa, offers concerts, live animals, rides, great food, performing arts and art exhibits. Park hours are generally Tuesday through Thursday, noon to midnight and Friday through Sunday, 10 a.m. to midnight.
