Description
The Huntington Beach Art Center presents a new exhibition opening in the main galleries, entitled, Ground Us. The exhibition features new installations by three artists: Kiel Johnson, Lucrecia Troncoso and P. Williams.
Collectively, the artists explore and investigate the sprawling environment and the constant development of concrete encroaching on our natural space. The use of everyday materials such as cardboard, wood, paper and sponges are used in the creation of the artists’ ideal utopias. Three large scale site-specific installations will amuse, engage and imagine a new and improved world.
The exhibition opens with a reception on Friday, June 27th from 7pm to 9pm. With a special performance scheduled for 8pm. All artists will be in attendance at the reception. The exhibition continues through August 31st.
