Acclaimed surfboard builder Tom Knight opened 5th Street Surf Shop in 1998. Knight, the founder of Rainbow Fin Company, was interested in bringing quality brand boards from Northern California to Huntington Beach. As a result, 5th Street Surf Shop carries a wide array of new and pre-owned surfboards by local and Santa Cruz shapers. Interested in hanging ten on a good quality longboard? You will find the right one at 5th Street. (The Huntington Beach Longboard Crew are frequent patrons.) Shopping for a wetsuit? Whether or not you are on a budget, 5th Street features a number of well-known brands, from Hotline Wetsuits to Neosports Hyperflex full and spring suits.
Known locally as a mom & pop - type store yet also a hardcore surf shop, the owners and staff at 5th Street are happy to assist with any questions you might have. The store also sells apparel items, bike and car racks, sunglasses, sunscreen, Cabo sandals and various surfboard accessories.
